towelogy 101 | Lesson 06
Absorbency, softness, and drying.
A good towel must do more than feel soft. It also needs to absorb water quickly and dry efficiently.
Absorbency comes from cotton quality, loop structure, yarn type, and surface area. Drying speed depends on weight, airflow, yarn structure, and how easily moisture can escape from the towel.
The challenge is balance. A towel that is too heavy may feel luxurious but dry slowly. A towel that is too light may dry fast but feel thin. Towelogist focuses on the balance between softness, absorbency, and practical everyday drying.
